The study included 91 participants living within 200 meters of the lines and a control group from a nearby transfusion centre.

Findings indicated:

  • Low iron levels in individuals exposed to magnetic fields above 2.0 milliGauss (0.2 µT)

  • No corresponding drop in ferritin (normally associated with iron deficiency)

  • A phenomenon described as “pseudo iron deficiency”

  • A reversal of abnormal parameters after relocating away from the lines—though recovery took several months

Similar findings were documented in residents of Bolezeele, France, near comparable transmission lines, suggesting a reproducible biochemical pattern.

Research into EMF and ELF sensitivity continues to grow, with studies exploring potential connections to:
