Phase One, Two, Three: The Future of Personalised Health

Phase one is awareness. Phase two is investigation. Phase three is precision.

Most of the wellness industry is still selling phase one.

Wearables were designed to create awareness. They taught us to pay attention to sleep, movement, recovery and stress. Bloodwork and advanced laboratory testing moved us into phase two, helping us investigate what might be happening beneath the surface.

But phase three is where real personalised health begins.

It’s understanding what your body actually needs, what’s affecting it, and what will create meaningful change. That means moving beyond generic advice and generic optimisation into precision health—using the right diagnostics, including epigenetic testing, to understand how your unique biology is responding to your environment, lifestyle and exposures.

Yet most people never get there.

Instead, they stay trapped in phase one, buying another wearable, another subscription, another supplement, another peptide or another longevity protocol, believing that more data automatically leads to better health.

It doesn’t.

The Limitations of “More Data”

The uncomfortable reality is that much of the data we place our trust in isn’t nearly as precise as we believe.

• Consumer wearables identify broad trends, but headline metrics are often algorithmic estimates, not direct physiological measurements

• Sleep staging often differs from clinical sleep studies

• Calorie expenditure is frequently inaccurate

• Recovery/readiness scores reduce complex biology to a single number

• Even HRV is heavily influenced by hydration, illness, travel, alcohol, stress and timing

Yet we make increasingly expensive health decisions based on these imperfect signals.

The Irony: Buying Health Instead of Understanding It

People spend hundreds—sometimes thousands—trying to “buy their health back”:

• Another supplement

• Another peptide

• Another longevity stack

• Another subscription

Without ever asking the most important question:

Does my body actually need this?

The wellness industry has convinced us that if we just buy enough products, we’ll eventually arrive at health.

But health isn’t something you buy back.

It’s something you understand.

Following generic advice because it worked for someone else is one of modern wellness’s biggest mistakes. Your biology, environment, toxic load, and stress response are not average—so why should your protocol be?

The real risk isn’t just wasted money. It’s spending years optimising the wrong things while the root cause remains untouched: taking supplements you don’t need, while overlooking the interventions your body actually requires.

The Shift: Better Context Over More Data

What if the answer isn’t more data—but better context?

• What if the most valuable test isn’t another wearable, but understanding how your genes express themselves in response to your environment?

• What if the smartest investment isn’t another supplement stack, but discovering what your biology actually needs before spending another pound?

Technology should expand awareness—not replace judgement.

Data should guide decisions—not become the decision.

The Path Forward

✅ Phase One → Creates awareness

✅ Phase Two → Investigates what lies beneath

✅ Phase Three → Delivers precision

That is where personalised health belongs.

And that is where the future of health is heading.
